[BUG]: Rendering errors with Iris Flywheel Compat #149

Before creating an issue, please make sure you have checked the following:

  • This issue does not appear without Chunks Fade In installed.
  • All my mods (not only Chunks Fade In) are up-to-date.
  • Similar issue had not already been reported before in the issue tracker.

What happened?

When using Chunks Fade In together with Iris & Oculus Flywheel Compat, rendering artifacts appear on the screen. They seem to be the opaque of some textures, being rendered as flat quads in front of the camera, but far away from the camera that they still clip through geometry.

This happens whether the "Patch Iris shaders" setting is enabled or not.

The issue goes away when:

  • Disabling "Mod enabled" in the Chunks fading settings
  • Disabling the Flywheel rendering backend altogether (/flywheel backend flywheel:off)
  • Uninstalling Chunks Fade In

Steps to reproduce

Enable shaders and join a singleplayer world with Chunks Fade In, Iris, Create (and by extension Flywheel), Iris & Oculus Flywheel Compat
