Stacey on OSX Yosemite #150
Comments
Web Sharing is not there as per the tutorial. If you search for how to host a website locally you will get a number of suggestions, but I could not get clean url's to work, so moved to MAMP eventually... |
@06nH I don't see what this has to do with my question. I would like to have a local copy of Stacey running on OSX Yosemite. Is this possible? If so, how? |
The tutorial you referred to is for an older version of Mac OS. Some of what is described in the tutorial does not 1:1 work in Yosemite and newer. But, yes, it is possible. I ended up using MAMP, but there are other ways of doing it using the command line interface. Just do a search for how to run a web server on your mac. Does this clarify? |
I also recommend you to just use MAMP. It's easy, complete and well maintained. |
Hello, are these instructions valid for running Stacey on Mac OSX?

Do I need to activate/start up MAMP? I have a /Sites folder, but I can't see a /webserver folder, any ideas?
