I believe this is really an OS issue. I mean you should act on the pixel density factor on your graphical environment. I don't think we can do anything but redesigning the user interface for e.g. a touch device, which is completely different from a desktop device.
For Linux, Java applications might use an environment variable that you can set: export GDK_SCALE=2
before starting the program from the Terminal.
For the Kontakt desktop client on a Ubuntu 18.04 on a high dpi screen, this works.
got a gpd pocket. which has a 1080p 7inch screen! wanted to have kontalk on it but its not really usable, as UI too small. not yet found a working workaround.

maybe its something i need to do to my system. idk. thought i would give heads up.
