Sort from Stone Controller works initially then crashes 1.19.2

I can set up my racks and add sort and insertion, but after using it for a while, if I open the controller interface and click sort the entire rack stops working (nothing happens when I click), and then when I quit the game it stalls out and I have to close with Task Manager. Minecraft Launcher gives an error code of "1," so super helpful. I will try Not Enough Crashes to get some more detail.
