Scope

The X to close

Screen Shot 2019-07-15 at 17 44 45

This "X" is super easy to miss. Pronounce it more.
A few ideas:

  • Make it bigger
  • Change color to something with more contrast
  • Make it bolder
  • etc.

Another idea is to remove the "X" completely and use another way of going back. One suggestion where the user "intuitively" expects a back button, is usually on the top left (iPhone + many apps).

Cancel/Done button

Screen Shot 2019-07-15 at 17 47 46

The cancel/done button is unfortunately not consistently used throughout the UI. E.g. for Exchange.js it's missing/hidden.
I think it's good to have it at the bottom ("Don't make me think"). But make sure that it's consistently included in every view.

Deliverables

  • Improved navigation for first time users by using cancel/done button consistently and by pronouncing the "close view" button.
