Support for BK7238

Is support for BK7238 planned?

Just get 5 light switches and for my surprise they have this newer chip and tried to flash them with esphome with no luck.

OpenBeken supports the BK7238 SoC. I am using it with an IRC03 Wifi-IR bridge.

Support is planned. However, due to how different the new BK7238 SDK is, it will probably take a long, long time.

Actually, this might be possible. See draft PR #360. Note it won't work yet, but supporting BK7238 is in progress.

hiya, i got a couple of these too now. definitely waiting for this. if i try out the PR it definitely wont work? sorry for stupid questions.

man side note, for as many people use these devices and your library with esphome, you'd think esphome would have a more effective way of updating :D

It won't work. The PR is draft, and it's currently basically empty.

That being said, I have already managed to port LibreTiny to BK7238/T1. It is currently the highest priority feature, so it will probably be available publicly "soon".

Previously, CBU modules were based on the BK7231. Now, CBU V200 modules have appeared, which are already based on the BK7238. We are really looking forward to support for these chips, as all new devices are shipping with the 7238. Thank you for your work!
