Tailwind lets you conditionally apply utility classes in different states using variant modifiers. For example, use hover:zoom-in-50
to only apply the zoom-in-50
utility on hover.
<div class="animate-bounce zoom-in-75 hover:zoom-in-50">
<!-- ... -->
</div>
For a complete list of all available state modifiers, check out the Hover, Focus, & Other States documentation.
You can also use variant modifiers to target media queries like responsive breakpoints, dark mode, prefers-reduced-motion, and more. For example, use md:zoom-in-50
to apply the zoom-in-50
utility at only medium screen sizes and above.
<div class="animate-bounce zoom-in-75 md:zoom-in-50">

</div>

By default, Tailwind makes the entire default scale available as animation scales. You can customize your scale by editing theme.scale
or theme.extend.scale
in your tailwind.config.js
file.
// @filename tailwind.config.js
module.exports = {
theme: {
extend: {
scale: {
175: "1.75",
},
},
},
}
Alternatively, you can customize just your animation scales by editing theme.animationScale
or theme.extend.animationScale
in your tailwind.config.js
file.
Learn more about customizing the default theme in the theme customization documentation.
If you need to use a one-off animation scale value that doesn’t make sense to include in your theme, use square brackets to generate a property on the fly using any arbitrary value.
<div class="zoom-in-[1.75]">
