Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing issues

Current Behavior

I recently decided to try installing Nextcloud again. linuxservers version failed to install with some vague error about not able to add a column or something at the last(install) step. Now my nextcloud share has vanished I can't add a new one? Like what?

Even with Nextcloud uninstalled I can't see the share or add new ones.

Expected Behavior

This was the final step according to the spaceinvaderone vid, so I expected it to work and to be able to enter Nextcloud webui.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Install from Unraid app store, select "default" (latest?) branch.
  2. Selected 444 instead of 443 as port. (see screenshot)
  3. Set Nextcloud share as /data, as instructed.
  4. build and wait for NC docker logs to say it's ready (init)
  5. Access webui. Make admin account and fill in MariaDB info as instructed.
  6. Receive cannot add column/something to table error.
  7. At some point realise NC has consumed the NC share and likely hungers for more.

nextcloud

Environment

- OS:Unraid 6.12.13 (which is on Docker 24.0.9)
- How docker service was installed: Using the Unraid App store, settings used we're the same suggested by spaceinvader's (old vid however) guide.

CPU architecture

x86-64

Docker creation

I included a screenshot, cant put it here.

Container logs

Deleted the container, no logs remains. I have the Unraid diagnostics/log but I won't expect NC devs to wade through it. I figure this to be an Unraid problem but they told me this is an NC support issue. I figured someone would be able to point out how it isn't (even if that is because it's on me not Unraid).

  1. we ask for the docker run because we want the docker run
  2. we ask for the container logs because we want the container logs

you are the only user i've ever seen report this and you provided no info that would help us even begin to assist you with this.

It sounds like you have a database issue, i suggest coming on discord for support as it will be much quicker (assuming you provide the relevant data.

We do have a vast number of unraid and non-unraid users not experiencing this issue, however, that doesnt mean it's not a nextcloud issue, their new releases tend to have numerous bugs.

A human has marked this issue as invalid, this likely happened because the issue template was not used in the creation of the issue.
