The Elasticsearch Twitter River supported User Streams which is not supported currently in logstash-input-twitter. Of note, there is an error in the Logstash 2.1 release blog post that suggests that the input plugin does support this. ("Added an option to stream tweets from the authenticated user's timeline.")

It'd be nice to be able to stream tweets from a user's timeline using the User Stream portion of the Streaming API.
