Thank you for contributing to Loobric Server ("the Project"), maintained by Brad Collette / Loobric ("the Maintainer").
This agreement exists for one reason, stated plainly: Loobric Server is licensed AGPL-3.0 to the public, and the Project is sustained by also licensing it commercially (for example, to power a hosted service). For that model to be possible, the Maintainer needs the right to license your contribution under those commercial terms too. This agreement grants that right. You keep ownership of your work, and your contribution will always also be available to everyone under the AGPL.
By signing, you accept the following for all contributions you submit to the Project, past and future:
"Contribution" means any original work of authorship you intentionally submit for inclusion in the Project (code, documentation, designs), in any form. "You" means the individual signing, who owns the Contribution or has the right to submit it under these terms.
You retain copyright in your Contribution. You grant the Maintainer a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, publicly display and perform, sublicense, and create derivative works of your Contribution — including the right to license it under terms of the Maintainer's choosing, both open source and commercial.
The Maintainer commits that every accepted Contribution will also be made available under the GNU AGPL-3.0 (or a later version of the same license, or another OSI-approved license).
You grant the Maintainer and all recipients of the Project a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable patent license to make, use, sell, offer for sale, import, and otherwise transfer your Contribution alone or combined with the Project, covering only those patent claims you can license that are necessarily infringed by your Contribution. If anyone brings patent litigation alleging your Contribution infringes a patent, any patent licenses granted to that party under this agreement terminate.
- The Contribution is your original creation, or you have identified any third-party material and its license clearly in the submission.
- You are legally entitled to grant these licenses. If your employer has rights to your work, you have its permission or it has waived those rights.
- You will notify the Maintainer if any of these representations become inaccurate.
Your Contribution is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. You are not expected to provide support. The Maintainer is not obligated to use or include your Contribution.
