This is a template to use upon failing one of your goal. Stop being a cog in the machine. Set goal, execute, iterate on success and failure and become driver of your own car instead of passenger in society's car.
1. Identify the Goal: What was the goal you set for yourself? Be specific.
2. Outcome: Did you achieve the goal? If not, how far did you get? What were the results?
3. Expectations vs Reality: What were your expectations when you set this goal? How did the reality differ from your expectations?
4. Obstacles: What obstacles did you encounter while working towards this goal? Were they anticipated or unexpected? How did you attempt to overcome them?
5. Effort: How much effort did you put into achieving this goal? Was it consistent? If not, why?
6. Resources: Did you have the necessary resources (time, money, skills, etc.) to achieve this goal? If not, how did the lack of resources affect your progress?
7. Mindset: What was your mindset while working towards this goal? Did you feel confident, anxious, overwhelmed, etc.? How did your mindset affect your progress?
8. Learning: What did you learn from this experience? What would you do differently next time?
9. Next Steps: Based on your reflection, what are your next steps? Will you set a new goal, modify the existing one, or take a different approach?
Remember, failure is not the end. It's an opportunity to learn, grow, and become better. As the saying goes, "Failures are the stepping stones to success."
