Feature Request: Detect when network is disconnected and display #67

End users might have a spotty connection, and possibly leaves network connectivity. Having a prompt that displays when it is unable to connect to a well known public ip address like 8.8.8.8 it will display a message to the user like

Network interrupted please check your network connection
the message could be customized through a plist key

Hi @cybertunnel,

That should be a pretty nice feature to add. The remote address to ping should be also configurable.

If I understand well, the prompt of alert dialog would simply notify the user of the disconnected state.

This might become troublesome if the user is constantly changing between Connected & Disconnected and if we're spamming him (or her) with dialogs.

I would suggest a slight change, maybe a subtle indicator with a popover in the bottom left part of the splash screen would be enough.

I can work on this in the near future, as this feature has been requested by members within my company.
I really like the UI idea, I will take it and run with it.
