change the color of TEditor per getPalette does not work.

Hello,
I would have a TDialog Window that consists of/with a TEditor.
The TEditor color is blue.
But I would like to have it in green.
How can I do this (I know, per virtual getPalette() member - but it seems, that the TEditor palette is static) ?
