[bug] Inline Text Editing Replaces Existing Text Repeatedly
Bug description
When double-clicking a text overlay to edit it, the existing text remains highlighted/selected. Typing new text replaces the selected content repeatedly, making it difficult to type more than one or two words continuously.
Steps to reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Go to the editor
- Upload any video
- Add a text overlay
- Double-click the text to edit it
- Start typing continuously
- Notice the text keeps getting overwritten
Expected behavior
The text overlay should enter edit mode normally, allowing users to type continuously without replacing previously typed text.
Actual behavior
The existing text stays highlighted while editing, causing new keystrokes to overwrite the selected text repeatedly.
Browser and OS info
- OS: Windows 11
