Not sure how big a problem this is for Pathspider, but look into how painful it would be.

Libtrace also detects and handles edge-cases that occur when decoding protocol headers such as fragmentation, header truncation and tunneling.

I wonder if this is even needed? I also wonder if this affects the Path MTU discovery plugin.
