Nowadays it's much better to package plugins as flatpak extensions. See the many plugins for GIMP or OBS Studio in flathub.org.
- Update the plugin to work with Entangle from flatpak.
- Package the plugin as a flatpak extension.
- Publish the plugin in flathub.org
