It is not inconceivable that someone has multiple printers. It should be easy to switch between multiple printers, say from a pulldown menu.
In my case, I can reach my 3D printer under one IP address when I'm on my home or work WIFI, but I have to access it on another IP address when I'm outside. The outside IP address does not work from inside my network. :-( (This depends on the router: I've seen cases where it did work.)
In my case having the "multiple printers supported" feature would help me by simply allowing me to select another printer that happens to be the same hardware.
