The best way to split your coins nowadays is to get some already-split dust and use the official Electron Cash (on BCH) and/or ElectrumSV (on BSV). This release incorporates the latest Electron Cash 3.3.4 changes, most notably the anti-phishing protection added by Calin Culianu. See the release notes.

(As with the last release, the checkpointing is still reverted, so you can connect to both BCH and BSV servers with this variant of Electron Cash.)

  • Electron-Cash-3.3.4CS.tar.gz: source distribution with included packages (Linux!).
  • Electron-Cash-3.3.4CS.exe : standalone windows executable.
  • Electron-Cash-3.3.4CS-portable.exe : standalone windows executable (portable mode).
  • Electron-Cash-3.3.4.1CS-macosx.dmg : MacOS build by Calin Culianu (Electron Cash dev) with signature .sig from his key. Note: this file was updated to fix a Mac compatibility issue.

This includes all features from Electron Cash 3.3.3. New things: Win/Mac QR readers, libsecp256k1 support (fast signing!), etc.

New features for this coinsplitter variant itself:

  • I've updated the name of this repo to "Coinsplitter" since it supports both CDSV and MUL splitting.
  • The BCH network checkpointing has been reverted, so you can connect to both BCH and BSV servers.
  • Added some more SV servers. Config's server-blacklist is wiped on startup in order to let you run both this version and the mainline version.
  • Set "BCH" strings to "B??" strings to not necessarily give the false impression of user being on BCH network.

New: Merged in recent 3.3.2 codebase (though most changes were already merged in). Improved handling of incompatible wallets (watching-only, hardware), and added rudimentary support for multisig wallets.

This adds a second menu item and a new dialog that funds and spends P2SH addresses with the following redeemscript:

<pubkey> OP_CHECKSIGVERIFY OP_1 OP_1 OP_MUL

which are only spendable on chains that support OP_MUL. This includes:

  • Bitcoin SV starting from November 15, 2018.
  • Bitcoin ABC/BU/etc. starting at some unspecified future date (perhaps May 2019).

Using this dialog (and the other CDSV dialog -- still available) you can implement a two-way split between SV
and ABC; additionally your coins will remain unmoved on "no-fork" chains.

It is important to note therefore that funds send to this P2SH address will be locked up on ABC/BU/etc. chain, until an unspecified future date. So do not manually send large sums to the P2SH address. (not that this tool will do this anyway -- the coin splitter tool only sends 1000 satoshis to this address.)

As usual the Electron.Cash-3.3.1CSplus.tar.gz and .zip files include all necessary packages, aside from PyQt5.

This is an augmented version of Electron Cash with added coin splitter functionality, based on OP_CHECKDATASIG.
