Send button hides virtual keyboard on Android

When chatting via Chrome on Android, the on-screen keyboard is visible while the text input control is active. When the message is completed, the user clicks send. This is where the problem happens.

Expected behavior
The message sends and the on-screen keyboard stays visible, setting the focus on the text input box again.

Actual behavior:
The message sends and the on-screen keyboard hides itself, leaving the focus on the button.
