Cyber Arts Camp

Learn cutting edge technology and sustainability through art.

The Martians have landed. We're setting up a civilization based on sustainability, technology, and art. We need YOUR help designing solar-powered light structures to use on our Martian planet. Are you ready to join us on this intergalactic mission?

Lessons

  • Learn

We'll take you on a journey to design, construct, and illuminate your own light sculpture. No prior coding experience necessary. All materials are included in your space kit.

  • Arduino

Become the master of your universe with the Arduino, an open-source microcontroller which makes it easy to program motors, lights, electronics, and many other things.

  • LEDs

Go from 0 to 255 with RGB. Learn how to address individual LEDs, additive versus subtractive mediums, and explore how rainbows are created through light refraction.

  • Solar Power

Where we're going, we don't need... outlets. Learn how to harness the power of the sun with our solar power kits.

  • Art

Cyber Arts Camp coaches are a dynamic group of creative practitioners working at the intersection of art and technology. Students will engage with these topics through creative problem solving.

  • Sculpture

Let's explore the built world by playing with geometry and architectural principles to construct one the coolest forms in our galaxy, the dome.

  • Modularity

See how to break down a complex structure into its various components, so that you can reconfigure and repurpose them.

  • Sustain

Sustainability starts with self-reliance. Learn how to build, understand, maintain, and modify each of the components of your sculpture.

  • Create

Synthesize these concepts together to create a dynamic light sculpture with a unique identity.
