Problems "playable" as Examples or not #389
Comments
Yes. We'd need to add a field to the problem table to say if a problem can
be used as an example.
Currently, I've added fields to the problem editor in MS Admin so that we
can set IDs for the video and the example.
I'm waiting for Mohit to finish some tasks so that I can put this version
of MSAdmin out there. When that happens I think we can let you and a few
others begin to use it.

Hi David,
As we are creating new problems fast, we are telling students to click on
the video tutorial button to see how this exact problem gets solved, maybe
as a second hint.
I can see this has the problem that this math problem is not playable as
an example.
Could we have a field in the problem table that says whether this problem
is playable as an example or not? By default, they all are. There are cases
like this batch of problems that Esther is creating based on the
ASSISTments problems that would not be playable as examples though.
You would have to make the check when selecting a problem to be played as
an example (at the beginning of a topic or when clicking on the example
button), making sure the problem selected is actually playable as an
example.

Hi David,
As we are creating new problems fast, we are telling students to click on the video tutorial button to see how this exact problem gets solved, maybe as a second hint.
I can see this has the problem that this math problem is not playable as an example.
Could we have a field in the problem table that says whether this problem is playable as an example or not? By default, they all are. There are cases like this batch of problems that Esther is creating based on the ASSISTments problems that would not be playable as examples though.
