Branching strategy for publication

Thinking about a collaboration between authors in a static site blog, I'm going to be following this strategy moving forward:

1. Create a feature branch with the intended publication date

(format yyyy-MM-DD)

• An intended date encourages planning and communicates goals
• The date may be set in the past to publish immediately upon approval
• Approval is decided by collaborators ahead of creating new posts

2. Create a pull request to publish a new post

• Pull requests (or merge requests) provide flexibility in establishing approval gates

This strategy change will make drafts simpler for reviewers.
