Description of the new feature / enhancement

image

Scenario when this would be used?

This function is very practical and is used almost every day. It is very convenient for ordinary users and professional users.

Saving and selecting files is very fast. I only use this function with this software. But always stay backstage. I hope this function can be added

Would love to have this. The only thing I miss from Listary.

It would be fantastic to get this feature! I keep hoping someone will take over and continue the development of listary, but it's been idle for quite some time now...

Any updates on this? This is the only reason I am using Listary.

@CodeTheZhu why have you closed the request as completed if it's not actually done?

Exactly what I was thinking. This feature has not been implemented yet

I also use Listary for this reason only, but would much prefer to have it in PowerToys. It's a massive time saver if you use a lot of different applications.

I'd also love to see this feature.

And for the record:

  • I haven't tested Listary yet, but there seems to be https://github.com/gepruts/QuickSwitch providing the feature (which I also haven't tested yet).
  • And there is https://codesector.com/directfolders which provides a similar feature called "ClickSwitch" there. The advantage there seems to be that all the open Explorer windows are provided as list from which can be chosen (see the screenshot below). As you can also see in the screenshot, this feature is (unfortunately) only available in the Pro version...

I've just arrived here searching for that exact feature.

Are there any third-party plugins that could provide this functionality? While I could use Listary for quick launching, I also rely on other PowerToys tools, which would require running both apps in the background at the same time—something I find a bit cumbersome.
