Mobile View for Nav Menu

I am trying to figure out how the "mobile" view works on the demo site. I want to be able to move the nav menu toggle to the top in the header and have the menu drop down vertically when the screen size is small. Am I missing something? Is there a media query somewhere that I am missing?
