High memory consumption in multi module projects

I have the Extension Pack for Java installed, together with the Spring Boot extension pack.

Loading the project with the Project Manager for Java enabled results in the process Code Helper (Renederer) reaching over 13 GB in my machine, at this point it starts swapping, and the vscode workspace remains unresponsive, rolling back to 0.22 seems to be a bit better, not unresponsive but still high memory consumption.
No problems are observed with the extension uninstalled.
