Audio breaks when unpaused

Steps to reproduce:

1. Play audio through command line application (eg cmus, ncmpcpp, mpv etc.)
2. Pause audio for longer than 5 seconds
3. Unpause audio.

WSL logs:

No response

Expected behavior:

Audio should resume playback smoothly.

Actual behavior:

Audio hangs, leaving the media player stuck indefinitely until killed.

Tried a fix with microsoft/pulseaudio-mirror#5, seems to work when using a system image compiled with the change. Haven't encountered a single instance of it happening since. Logs above were taken with default system image.
