Shutdown after completion

I'd like to see a switch for gallery-dl so to shutdown Windows upon completion.

Surely windows has something similar to gallery-dl && shutdown? Doesn't need to be built into the program.

There is.

Shutdown immediately, don't force process shutdown (worst case scenario: the shutdown might never complete), equivalent to Linux shutdown now:

shutdown /s /t 0

Reboot immediately, don't force process shutdown (worst case scenario: the shutdown might never complete), equivalent to Linux shutdown -r now:

shutdown /r /t 0

Shutdown immediately, force process shutdown (rare worst case scenario: the shutdown might never complete, as forcing might not work), no equivalents in Linux since Linux will kill a process eventually:

shutdown /s /t 0 /f

Reboot immediately, force process shutdown (rare worst case scenario: the shutdown might never complete, as forcing might not work), no equivalents in Linux since Linux will kill a process eventually:

shutdown /r /t 0 /f

I believe you put a semicolon between commands.

Example:
./yt-dlp deviantart.com/johndoe; shutdown /s /t 0

; is line termination in PowerShell

So, yes, you can chain multiple commands together in one line.
But this is not the same as gallery-dl && shutdown

&& is a pipeline chain operator, so the right-hand side is only executed if the left-hand side terminates successfully, i.e. with exitcode 0 for example.
Otherwise, the right-hand side is not executed.

This does not work in old PowerShell 5, though.

But it should also work in even older Cmd.exe, ironically..
