Hello! i have a question about the vector index. I know the usually index earlier was generally after the vector work such as cluster. I an interested in the indexing work of Milvus. Does it update in the background?

Milvus manages data by segments.
Each segment might contain tens thousands of rows. Once a segment is successfully persisted, the data in this segment will not be changed.
Each segment's index is independent. Once the segment is deleted, the index is also deleted.

If there is new data inserted, the new data will be persisted into new segment, new segment has new index.
