horrible flickering of the game window

Describe the bug
the whole window of both the launcher and the game flickers when it updates/redraws (example: when the image changes in the launcher or when the game is on a loading screen). this happens only on quallcom based devices running postmarket os as far as im aware {my device is a samsung sm-t533}

Steps to reproduce the behavior:
unclear on how to reproduce it other than to try to run it on a device similiar to mine

Expected behavior
it shouldn't flicker
