Crash upon arriving at the main menu screen

Describe the bug
The game launches, gets as far as the main menu screen, then immediately crashes. (It might be worth noting that this is a new installation of Arch Linux and a fresh initialization of the launcher and associated files so this is on Minecraft's firstlaunch)

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open launcher (AppImage)
2. Launch the game
3. Wait until the game loads the main menu

Expected behavior
This pretty much explains itself, but one would normally expect to be able to move past the main menu and play the game. [sarcasm] Thanks Microsoft for not making the job of projects like this any easier [end sarcasm]
