Describe the bug
Previously, I could log into my MS account in Minecraft. But now I cannot. I get the error "Drowned", meaning an unknown error.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open Minecraft Bedrock
  2. Click on 'Sign in'
  3. Wait...
  4. See the "Drowned" Error

Expected behavior
I expect to see a login window with a Microsoft login page.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Linux (Pop!_OS 22.04 x64 on Intel)
  • Version: 0.14.0.8288482518.3 (build 8288482518)
  • Installation Type: deb

Additional context
I do sometimes (like rarely) get the "Crossbow" error, meaning a client side error.

The same problem is happening to me too...have been playing on the launcher for 1-2 years perfectly fine on my m1 mac, but since last week, I started getting this 'drowned' error, which doesn't let me sign into my microsoft account. I have even went to extreme lengths by fully factory resetting my mac, and reinstalling the launcher clean, but it didn't make a difference and still does the same error everytime.

Does anyone know a fix to this, I was having so much fun but now I don't know what to do :(

I am also facing this issue. I have tried reinstalling from both flatpaks and the AUR, but neither fixed the issue.

For some reason I can now login in the latest nightly build. Weird.

I'll leave this issue open for others who are having the problem.
