Anyone gotten 5.0.0 to build on Ubuntu 24.10 or 24.04? or Kali? I cannot.

I'm following the readme here, This is the first error I get.

My process to fix.

1. I created a virtualenv virtualenv venv
2. Activated the venv source venv/bin/activate
3. Now I can run pip3 install -r requirements.txt, that completed with no errors.
4. Try to run python3 server.py --insecure --build and get the error below.
   

I get the same error on Ubuntu 24.10 / 24.04, and Kali 2024.4

Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

Have you installed nodejs and npm?
Try: sudo apt update && sudp apt install nodejs npm
