Very 'new' to skipfish - cannot get it to run?

Running skip' (v2.05b) on a Debian Box. - new install
running skip' on the command line thru putty.  
Syntax:-   skipfish -o ~/tmp http://localhost
Keep getting:-

[-]   SYSTEM ERROR   :
     Stop Location   :   main(),  skipfish.c.503
       OS message    :   File exists

Help!!!!!
