Does battery work without smart meter? #225

I don‘t know, but I could imagine the inverter not knowing how much the house is drawing could be an issue. When it‘s sunny and your inverter produces lots of energy, it just pumps out as much as possible. But if there is no sun and the battery is being used, the inverter has to know exactly how much power your house is drawing to calculate how much power should be drawn from the battery. Else, it would just drain the battery at maximum rate. |

Well it has internal power measurement as well. Without the meter, I am still seeing how much power flow through the inverter (to backup port, albeit with 50W error). |

So I have an issue, want to ask here first before going to official support, as it will be a hassle without any error codes.
I had everything working well, without errors on isolarcloud. Long story short, I was doing some work in my fuse box and have removed the official smart meter. Everything was disconnected and OFF for some time (only AC side, I did not touch the battery).
After I switched it all on again, everything works, but not the sungrow SBR battery. When the breaker is switched on, it displays SOC level at 3/10, blinks blue light for some time and switches itself off (the breaker). No errors in isolarcloud, SOC displayed as 0% there. Same with this integration - all battery values are zeroes. As if battery communication is dead?
I have another setup elsewhere and we tested it without the meter, and there battery works as usual. But here I just can't get it working.
Perhaps someone has any insights/ideas, or already has run in to this issue before?
