Getting the JS to work in the admin is by far the most common question. Perhaps it's time to just cave and ship a bundled version.

The admin as of 1.6 ships with a recent jQuery version so this would potentially only require bundling part of jQuery UI.

It worked pretty nice with django-admin-bootstrapped when I changed versions of jQuery in admin/base.html.
