Refactor plugin refresh code

While the current refresh functionality works, there are two issues:

• An error is thrown in the console: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/getting-error-in-google-web-developer-console?replies=2
• The width has to be modified to fit the container

There should be a way to avoid these issues. Jetpack's Facebook Like Box avoids the first issue. Hopefully they are linked and two birds can be killed with one stone
