Section 8.2 Definition of the Derivative: Wrong function
You present an example involving displacement and velocity for a moving object.
You say that the displacement is s(t) = sqrt(t+3)
You pose the question asking for the velocity at time t=6.
But then you proceed to find df(x)/dx, rather than ds(t)/dt
And the displacement function you use is a polynomial function f(x) = x^2 + 2x, not the square root function that was presented.
And you evaluate the derivative at x=2, rather than at t=6.
