⚠ BREAKING CHANGES

  • 2.0.0 is a ground-up re-implementation and shares no API with 1.x. Nothing about upgrading is incremental: 1.x has been non-functional for years because the free ephemeris service it called no longer exists, so this release is less a migration than a different library that kept the domain vocabulary. Concretely — the package is ESM-only and ships no CommonJS build; callers supply their own Morphemeris API key, and there is no bundled key and no free proxy; Aspect.orb is now the angular distance from exactness rather than the fractional part of the separation, so any orb 1.x reported for a non-integer angle was wrong; birth times are given as a local wall clock plus a place instead of a Date, because a Date silently imported the host's time zone and produced a different chart on a laptop than in a container; and Planet.symbol, the data-taking Chart constructor, innerPlanets and outerPlanets are gone. Charts stored from 1.x should be recomputed rather than compared against 2.x output.
