As per phoenixx24 on Twitter:

"Doesn't work at all on my phone. 'Action: Establishing Relay Relay frame could not be found'. It's a Nokia lumia 800 using IE"

With the Windows Phone 8 SDK now available, I've checked support in the new IE10 browser. Unfortunately the same issue is present.

Does it the mobile IE10 still have window.opener and postMessage issues?

I know someone else who is having this issue on their Windows Mobile phone using IE. Also, I notice this issue in Chrome on iOS.

Unfortunately, that's a known issue. #2034 is the generic bug for things like Chrome on iOS.

Oddly, when using IE10 on my Lumia 928 (WP8) with it set to prefer the "Desktop version", I get the Relay Frame issue. If I change it to prefer the "Mobile version", Persona logs in just fine.

Sure. That's probably because that changes the UA string to the desktop
version. We don't use the fix for desktop IE, since that works normally.

Just got my Lumia 520 in the mail yesterday (win 8/ie 10). Sadly I can repro @KWierso's symptoms: IEMobile works fine, "Desktop mode" gives me the relay frame error. Working on installing the SDK so I can actually get to a console...

@ednapiranha Historical note, we've gotten Chrome/iOS working :-)

Any progress on desktop mode for WP?

dmarlow: nope, two-star bugs generally don't get much attention. Pull requests welcome :-)

Hang on, I'm confused. Per discussion in #2034 (and code here), Persona should work just fine on Windows Phone, provided "Desktop Mode" is disabled.

Need info:

  1. Does Persona work on the latest Mobile IE without Desktop Mode turned on?
  2. Does Persona work on the latest Mobile IE with Desktop Mode turned on?

Dan, just tested in a Windows Phone 8.1 (Lumia 925), and it does indeed work using mobile mode and desktop mode.

I haven't tested Windows Phone 7, although I suspect that's a low priority.
