Deinterlace like MPV but via FFmpeg #18592

It's impossible to answer without a log. mpv can deinterlace using your GPU driver implementation, or a filter in ffmpeg. With log we can tell you which one you are using. |

I have no GPU. I got logging to work. Will I need an isolated, 30000/1001 FPS credit crawl? |

The log is 772 lines. Platform is Win7. |

I've searched the net but not github -- search here doesn't seem to work sensibly. MPV's deinterlace (bobbing NTSC) is stunning, very smooth. I've tried to duplicate it with FFmpeg via 'yadif' and 'bwdif', with and without 'dejudder', but without success. How's MPV rendering such a judder-free credit-crawl? Has anyone duplicated it via FFmpeg?
