I tried loading a crossnumber puzzle in IPUZ format. When revealing the solution, no cells that should've had zeroes were filled. Entering zeroes manually caused the application to state that I entered incorrect letters. Attached is the IPUZ file as an example.(Renamed to TXT due to GitHub constraints.)
Hi David -- it looks like the ipuz spec defines 0 as an empty value by default (and the file you attached includes "empty": "0")
By default, a 0 (or "0") value is used to represent an empty cell or value. If the puzzle needs a cell or value of 0, it must define a different value for empty. Some programs may wish to always define an empty value.
So you should be able to set the empty value to something else that isn't used in the puzzle, like "%", and have the 0 cells work correctly.
Ah, I hadn’t thought to check that and assumed this is one of the files I’d
already set up with the alternate empty value. Will try that fix after
dinner and confirm — thanks!
