I have mkchromecast working on Linux Mint which is casting to a TV. I'm basically using an old laptop as a media centre to just autopay YouTube Music. The TV currently just displays "Default Media Receiver Mkchromecast v0.3.9 Live".
Is there a way to put up an audio visualiser on the screen, or even the track name/artist from YouTube Music? Also, is it possible to control the TV/chromecast volume from linux?
