KubeWatch Webhook for Telegram

Notes

This kubewatch is reduced only for Created and Deleted resource

Prerequisites

  1. Docker
  2. Python >=3.10

How to run

  1. Build the docker image
    $ docker build -t kubewatch-telegram-webhook . 
  2. Set the Telegram environment variable, save as file called .env.docker
    TELEGRAM_CHANNEL_ID=-10xxxx
    TELEGRAM_BOT_TOKEN=1999xxxx5:AAGxxxxxx
    TELEGRAM_TOPIC_ID=1
  3. Run the docker compose This will run on port 8000
    $ docker compose up -d 
    
    $ docker ps

  4. Setup https (self-signed, ngrok, etc)
    $ ngrok http 8000 
  5. Set the kubewatch config, for this example we use Helm (deployed on Kubernetes)
