As of the latest update, I have now been able to receive calls on my Mac from my iPhone. However, I am unable to accept the calls. Moreover, if I attempt to place a call on my Mac, I get an error message that says "Wi-Fi calling is Not Available on This Wi-Fi Network". If I turn the VPN off on my Mac, I am then able to place and receive calls successfully.

Thanks for reporting this. I assume you have the "Local network sharing" option enabled?

We'll look into it and see if we can reproduce the problem.

@RobertStanford1 do you use IPv6 by any chance?

Local Network Sharing is turned on and I do not use IPv6.

I have to note that I have tested this behavior and it seems to work sporadically fine on macOS 12.3, with version 2022.2. We can investigate this further, but if a mac is booted up with auto-connect turned on, it won't receive incoming calls unless it's disconnected or if you start a call from facetime. I presume it will stop working if it's disconnected from the WiFi network or put to sleep. This will require some traffic dumping to see what it is exactly that we're disallowing, however I think this might have something to do with how apple frameworks ignore routing tables and act all weird.

However, after some minutes after connecting to a relay, the same macbook is capable of receiving incoming calls.

I recently switched from Nord -> Mullvad and this is really the only problem that's making using it difficult. Facetime refuses to connect with the VPN enabled, every time a call comes in I have to quickly disconnect the VPN or it will fail.

Are you connected on to Mullvad on the phone, the mac or both?

On both, yes

I will test this out tomorrow, but I believe for now it won't be possible to make calls on your Mac whilst the phone is connected via our app. We're working hard to resolve this limitation, but it will take some time. It boils down to us not being able to control if we allow LAN traffic or not.

Was a solution ever found to this?
