Qt version used in murmur: mumble 1.5.x / Qt 6.2 ?

Hi, my question is regarding the qt version used in mumble server.

According to the build instructions, Qt5 is used to compile a mumble-server (murmur).

I found that standard support for qt v5.15 will end by 2023-05-26:

Q: Will the next release of mumble (v1.5.x) use qt v6.2 LTS?

I tried to find any information about it and only got across an issue-comment from December 2022 which says:

Maybe it's fixed with Qt6, but we'll only find out once we actually move to using it.

So I assume you plan to switch at some point in time? Or is it even possible to compile murmur 1.4.x with qt6?

Background of my question:
After there were no more official static builds of mumble after v1.3, I could not upgrade my mumble-server running on a centOS 7 host to v1.4. Therefore, I have set up a build environment to compile static murmur binaries from source. I wanted to know whether I could already update to build the static server binary with qt6.

1.5 doesn't use Qt6 yet. We will migrate eventually though.
However, Qt6 requires C++17 and because of build issues with the way we use Ice. This doesn't compile with C++17. See also #4493

The information that Qt5 is going out of support that soon is new though. My guess is that we won't be able to fix this in time - we don't have the required manpower to rewrite the code that fast...
