I’d like to propose support for integrating proprietary data sources into the research workflow through a user-defined API or plugin interface. This would allow users to connect MAESTRO to internal systems such as relational databases, full-text search engines, vector indexes, or custom RAG pipelines.
The idea is to:
- Define a simple, pluggable API contract that external sources can implement
- Let users register and configure one or more such sources via settings
- Enable these sources to participate in research alongside internal documents and web search
This would significantly increase MAESTRO’s utility in environments where key data lives outside the uploaded documents or public web, while aligning with its modular, agent-driven design.
Thanks for considering!
