It's not convenient for users to give nicknames to each model manually one by one.

Can you set the combination of Provider Name and Model ID as default Model Nickname?

I believe it assists users in organizing the models more effectively.

examples:

Model Nickname Provider Name Model ID
DeepSeek | deepseek-chat DeepSeek deepseek-chat
Ollama | qwen2.5:7b Ollama qwen2.5:7b

Other Solution

I believe the nickname is not an effective way to distinguish models. It might be better to modify the frontend UI to group the models by Provider Name.

You can refer to Cherry Studio's solution:

Once version 1.5.3 is approved, you can change the model name and its image from the Manage Model tab. 🙂 In the next update, we will set the nickname as you recommended, which seems like a nice idea

That's great!
