Publish MQTT retained messages from NATS

I have a legacy application connecting to my NATS server using MQTT. I have previously ensured some delivery of certain messages with a retained flag, however, I can't find a way to publish a NATS message that is retained in the MQTT context. It works fine if I send MQTT messages with the retain flag.

Is there a way to send a NATS message that is "retained" as seen from MQTT clients?

No, there is currently no way to make a NATS message a retained MQTT message.
