I think the easiest way to put it is that Bridle is a profile manager - you can set up configuration instances that are isolated from one another, and play around with things. Ruler seems to have a lot more harnesses supported, and APM leans heavy into properly handling most of the sources that you might want to use. If there was a "pitch" that I'd give for Bridle in the context of the two other tools you've mentioned, it's probably that Bridle is by far the simplest to use - open TUI -> swap profile -> edit it as you want in your favorite editor. Tbf I didn't know the other two tools even existed before this comment, but the best way to find out what works for you is to try them all. Also helps if you know the underlying language that the tool is written in, in case you wanna contribute. Let me know which one you will be going with forward and why, I'm interested to hear ! |
