Deleting Interface does not trigger Delete IP Address event rule

I have an Event Rule triggered when an IP Address is deleted.

When I delete an Interface, the associated IP Address is deleted automatically.

So I expect that the Event Rule should trigger in this case. But it doesn't. Did this behavior change recently? I think it used to work a few months ago in an older Netbox version but I can't say for sure.
